For reservations at Monhegan House call (207) 594-7983, or 800-599-7983. If these are booked, inquire about other places available. Major credit cards are accepted by most establishments as well as by boat services. Be sure to take a warm sweater or jacket, as the boat ride can be chilly even in summer. Binoculars, suntan lotion, sun glasses, and sturdy walking shoes are also a must. With only a few restaurants and a pizza shop on the island, you may want to pack a lunch.
