Because of an editing error, a story in the July 27 Monitor ("SomeStay in the Vestibule of Baseball's Hall of Fame," p. 15) contained an incorrect statistic for Reggie Jackson. He is No. 1 on the all-time list of career slugging averages in World Series games. The Monitor regrets this error.
