Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Due to an editing error, a March 31 article titled "D.C.'s DelegateWith a Cause" (Page 14) incorrectly described congressional representative Eleanor Holmes Norton's finances. The Nortons did not file local income tax returns from 1982-88, though the money (with interest and penalties) has been paid.The article also incorrectly stated the original size of the District of Columbia: It was 100 square miles, until a portion reverted to Virginia.
