MCDONALD'S IS SOLE ADVERTISER IN LIFE ISSUE

McDonald's Corporation is the sole advertiser in LIFE magazine's special spring 1990 edition about the world of pre-teens. The 116-page issue, which goes on sale May 7, will have 32 pages of ads reflecting various dimensions of the restaurant chain's business. All of the photos used in the ads were taken by photojournalists on Oct. 25, 1989, at locations around the world.
McDonald's said that LIFE's oversized pages and high-quality photo reproduction ``offered an ideal medium for the advertorials.''
One photo features a park bench made of plastic lumber made from recycled McDonald's polystyrene packaging.
