Wholesale prices fell 0.2% in October

Wholesale prices fell 0.2 percent in October, marking the third straight monthly decline and the longest streak of falling prices in 17 years, the US Labor Department said Monday. The drop in the Producer Price Index for finished goods was attributed to a seasonally adjusted 1.2 percent slide in the wholesale price of 1985 model cars and trucks.
