CIA said to have ordered on air strike in Nicaragua

The CIA ordered an air strike against a suspected Salvadorean guerrilla communications center inside Nicaragua on Feb. 2, intelligence sources say. The intelligence agency then told the Nicaraguan Democratic Force, a CIA-trained Nicaraguan rebel group based in Honduras, to take responsibility for the attack, the sources say.

The CIA and the White House declined comment Wednesday on reports of CIA direction of the air attacks.
