Bonn legislators detained for A-protest in E. Berlin
Berlin — East German police detained four antinuclear Greens party members of the West German Parliament, a Greens spokesman said. The spokesman said Petra Kelly and two other Greens members of Parliament were taken away in East Berlin by police who moved in on a small peace demonstration in the city center. Earlier, Western delegates to a European disarmament conference said they held a clandestine meeting with East German peace campaigners in East Berlin. In possibly the first event of its kind, about 15 Westerners crossed the Berlin Wall separately and met a similar number of East Germans.
