Nicaragua says exiles kidnap 67 peasants

About 40 rightist opponents of the Sandinista government stormed a border village, kidnapped 67 peasants - mostly children - and forced them at gunpoint into Honduras, Nicaraguan officials charged.

An Interior Ministry communique said the rightists, who raided the village of Siuse, are former members of the late dictator Anastasio Somoza's National Guard , which was defeated in a 1979 civil war by the Sandinista National Liberation Front now ruling the country. The ministry said the peasants were marched at gunpoint for about five miles into Honduras, where the exiles maintain military base camps.
