Young American Jews off to fill in for absent Israelis

A group of 200 American Jews - the first batch of about 800 volunteers - flew to Israel Wednesday to live in tents and work in kibbutz settlements in place of Israeli soldiers fighting in Lebanon. They are mostly of college age.
