Australian, not Prince, to take Canberra post

Sir Ninian Martin Stephen, a High Court judge, will become Australia's next governor general in July, Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser said, quashing widespread speculation that Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, would take up the post as Queen Elizabeth's representative in Australia.
