Italian Red Brigades kill man they had kidnapped
Rome — Red Brigades urban guerrillas killed the last of four men they kidnapped this year -- the brother of a former guerrilla-turned-informer. The victim, Roberto Peci, was kidnapped June 10. The Brigades sentenced him to death, saying he had turned his brother Patrizio over to police. Patrizio's arrest and his confessions led to police raids on Red Brigades hideouts.
Of the three others the Red Brigades kidnapped this year in their "spring and summer offensive 1981," two we re released unharmed and one was killed in July.
