Japan's 'car war' with US may be near a showdown

Prime Minister Zenko Suzuki joined top aides in a strategy session aimed at setting the "car war" with the United States this week. Officials said results of the top-level meeting would be forwarded to Naohiro Amaya, the deputy minister for international trade and industry, who is in Washington for talks with Reagan administration officials.
US special trade representative Bill Brock arrives in Tokyo Wednesday f or meetings on the issue.
