Black Africa asks that US keep its hands off Angola
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — The 50-nation Organization of African Unity (OAU) called on the United States not to interfere in the internal affairs of Angola. The Reagan aministration has asked Congress to repeal a 1976 law prohibiting US military aid to antigovernment rebels in Angola without congressional authorization.
In addition the OAU has prepared a plan for crippling South Africa's industrial and military sectors by cutting off oil supplies, informed sources said.
Sources said the OAU's Sanctions Committee has drawn up a list of 12 measures to be taken against the white-ruled republic. The list will later form the basis for an African effort to secure a UN oil emb argo.
