Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

ABC News and the Markle Foundation have commissioned a survey to assess whether voter turnout in the 1980 presidential election (especially on the West Coast) was affected by early projections of a Reagan victory, and by Carter's concession speech. The Center for Political Studies of the University of Michigan is conducting the survey. Results will be av ailable within a month or two.
