Israelis land 1-2 punch along Lebanese coast

Israeli gunboats shelled suspected Palestinian bases along the coast of Lebanon Wednesday and ground forces made a quick assault into the area, the Israeli military announced. A military source, noting it was the fourth attack by Israel against guerilla targets in two weeks, after nearly a month of quiet along the northern border with Lebanon, warned of a period of "more intensive activity."
