Giscard, Schmidt sit down to discuss world problems
| Paris
The leaders of France and West Germany discussed a joint approach to international problems in the light of increasing East-West tension and the Reagan administration's tough line toward the Soviet Union. President Valery Giscard d'Estaing said he and West German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt would set out their analysis Friday, at the end of their two-day conference here.
The two leaders have sought to dispel reports of policy differences between them. Sources said both leaders wanted closer coordination with the Reagan administrat ion than they had with President Carter.
