Some people suggest registering at several different services to assure full-time employment. Registering at a national or international agency means being able to work in towns while traveling.

Ask about benefits such as life and health insurance and vacation. Find out how long you must work before you are eligible. Some services put more emphasis on special training than benefits. D ecide which would be more important to you.
