Carter on Ohio hustings as primary season ebbs
| Columbus, Ohio
President Carter campaigned for the first time Thursday -- just five days before the last primaries of 1980 -- and gave a speech to 10,000 supporters here , just blocks away from where Ronald Reagan was addressing a smaller crowd, estimated at 5,000. The President drew one of his loudest cheers when he said, "Knowing that it's going to hurt me if I'm wrong, I will predict that inflation will go down in the second half of the summer."
