Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

The simmering Mt. St. Helens volcano near here erupted Sunday, sending flames and ash to a height of up to 50,000 feet. The eruption was felt 100 miles away and people still living in the area were ordered to leave their homes.
