Togolese President Gnassingbe Eyadema is here trying to mediate a cease-fire between factions fighting for control of the Chad capital. General Eyadema met one faction leader, President Goukouni Oueiddei, Saturday as the guns of two civil-war armies fell silent after two weeks of fighting.
