US to conduct limited probe of Kennedy slaying

The Justice Department has decided to conduct a limited investigation into several aspects of the 1963 assassination of President John Kennedy, a department spokesman said late Saturday. The inquiry will focus on acoustical evidence gathered by the House of Representatives Assassinations Committee more than a year ago, suggesting that a second gunman fired on the President when he was killed in Dallas, Texas.
