In spite of hardship, Israelis and Palestinians persevere for peace

My sincere thanks for reporting on the noble, courageous actions of the Israeli and Palestinian individuals described in the April 6 article, "Enemy soldiers gather - to strive for peace."

I am an Arab-American Muslim female who has never been to Israel or the occupied territories. But I'm a regular participant in an Arab/Jewish women's discussion group, and I know how difficult it is to talk about painful issues. These men take the value of engaging in painful dialogue to a new level with their willingness to reach out to each other. Despite the ongoing tragedy that has so defined the daily life of Israelis and Palestinians, the story of the bravery of these men made me cry in recognition of their humanity and spirit.
