If you're looking to meet someone, it's wise to put geography on your side.

For an abundance of men, head to Crowley County, Colo., an 801-square-mile stretch on the state's eastern side where, among the population of 5,518, there are 205.4 men for every 100 women. If the South is more to your liking, Feliciana Parish, La. - 30 miles north of Baton Rouge - comes in a close second, with a male-female ratio of 191.1 to 100. For those with a penchant for the far northwest, there's Aleutians-East Borough, Alaska, boasting a male-to-female ratio of 184.8 to 100. But though men abound in Aleutians-East Borough, it may be hard to find them: The population of 2,000 is spread over nearly 7,000 square miles.

For men on the prowl, there's no better place than former railroad boomtown Clifton Forge, Va., nestled in the Allegheny highlands and boasting the lowest male-female ratio in America, with 78.9 men for every 100 women. In fact, Virginia seems to be hoarding American women, as the top three cities for feminine abundance are all within its state lines: Franklin claims 79.2 men per 100 women, and Williamsburg is home to 81.4 men for every 100 women. Virginia is for lovers, indeed.
