Reagan says TV news dwells on the negative

President Reagan criticised television newsmen by saying they dwelt too much on bad news and paid insufficient attention to the accomplishments of Americans. In a speech prepared for a luncheon of the US Olympic Committee, he challenged network anchormen to report good news for a week. He also appealed for public contributions in support of US teams in next year's Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
