Roy Wilkins, rights leader

Civil rights leader Roy Wilkins, who passed on here Tuesday, was the executive director of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He led the legal fight to end segregation in the US during the tumultuous civil rights movement of the 1950s and '60s.
