With defending champion Spain out yesterday in a surprise 2-0 loss against Chile, today’s line-up has teams battling for advancement.

- Colombia takes on Cote d’Ivoire at noon EST at the National Stadium in the capital of Brasília.

- Uruguay faces England at 3:00 p.m. EST at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo.

Iran’s official line on exchange with Israel: Deterrence restored

- Japan plays Greece at 6:00 p.m. EST at Arena das Dunas in the northeastern city of Natal.

Both Colombia and Cote d’Ivoire won their opening round matches. Experts are giving Colombia the edge, but Cote d’Ivoire forward Didier Drogba could present a big challenge.

Today’s match to watch is Uruguay vs. England. Both teams won the World Cup decades ago and both teams lost their 2014 opening round matches. That makes this match key for either team to advance. After losing to Costa Rica, 1-3, Uruguay is hoping forward Luis Suarez will be in better shape today. This World Cup tournament has already seen almost three times as many goals on average per game compared to the last Cup in 2010.

Japan and Greece are the bottom two teams in Group C after having lost their opening round matches. Greece has lost six of its last seven World Cup matches, giving Japan a slight edge in this line-up.

All three matches will be shown on ESPN and Univision. If you're not going to be near a TV, you can watch on the Univision website or download the free Univision mobile app. Or if you're a cable-TV subscriber, you can watch on the WatchESPN app.
