College football TV schedule: The top four schools, as ranked in the new college football playoff poll, take to the field Saturday. Plus USC-UCLA and Harvard-Yale in 'The Game.'

On the cusp of Thanksgiving, the new College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings are taking shape. The top four teams in the playoff poll on December 7 will play in the national semifinals, consisting of the Rose and Sugar Bowls, on Jan. 1, 2015.

Alabama finds itself on top of the CFP poll, following their victory over SEC West foe and previously unbeaten Mississippi State last Saturday. The Crimson Tide, ranked second in The Associated Press Top 25 poll, takes a break from SEC play Saturday when they host Western Carolina at 4 p.m. Eastern time. You can watch the game on the SEC/ESPN Network.

Because of the Mississippi State loss, Florida State once again assumes the top spot in the AP Top 25 poll. Despite another come-from-behind win over Miami last Saturday, the Seminoles remain at No. 3 in the CFP rankings. FSU, the only undefeated team in the power five conferences, plays host to ACC rival Boston College at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. Depending on what part of the United States you're watching from, the game can be seen on ABC or ESPN2.

In Kentucky, the oldest Black independent library is still making history

The University of Oregon, ranked second in the CFP poll and No. 3 by the AP, will host Colorado in a Pacific-12 Conference game at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Saturday. This contest will be televised on the Pac-12 Network. You can also go to the conference website, pac-12.com/live, for a live video link.

Mississippi State falls to No. 4 in both the CFP rankings and The Associated Press Top 25 poll this week. The Bulldogs will try to rebound from a tough loss to Alabama by hosting SEC foe Vanderbilt. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Saturday and will be broadcast on the SEC/ESPN Network.

Other games of note: AP No. 6/CFP No. 7 Baylor takes on Oklahoma State. This Big 12 Conference game starts at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Saturday and will be televised on Fox.

Ohio State, ranked seventh in the AP and sixth in the CFP, meets Indiana in a Big Ten matchup. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers get started at noon Eastern Saturday on the Big Ten Network (BTN).

Mississippi, No. 8 in both the Associated Press and CFP polls, travels to Arkansas Saturday. This SEC West clash will be televised on CBS, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.

One of the traditional rivalry games that takes place this time of year is USC-UCLA. The Bruins are ranked ninth in the CFP poll, 11th in the AP. The Trojans are No. 24 in the AP poll and 19th in the CFP rankings this week. USC-UCLA will be televised nationally on ABC, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Saturday night.

And two longtime Ivy League rivals, Harvard and Yale, play Saturday at Harvard for the 131st time. With a win, Harvard clinches the Ivy League title outright. If Yale wins, there could be a three-way tie between Harvard, Yale, and Dartmouth – if the Big Green defeats Princeton. "The Game" will be televised on the NBC Sports Network, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Eastern.
