Wango Tango alum Adam Levine welcomed a new generation of concert-goers to the annual daylong music festival Saturday.

Before performing his hit "Pay Phone," the Maroon 5 frontman recalled his Wango debut in 2004.

"Half of you guys weren't even alive. So welcome," said a platinum blond Levine.

Colombian singer Shakira, British rocker Ed Sheeran, and EDM producer-DJ Tiesto were the final acts at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera sang their emotional ballad "Say Something." The pregnant pop star, who arrived late and breathless, said she had kicked off her heels and sprinted for the stage.

Other performers included Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande, Calvin Harris, One Republic, and Paramore.

Levine and Aguilera both serve as judges on the NBC singing competition “The Voice” and Levine will be returning to the show for the upcoming fall season, according to NBC, along with judge Blake Shelton. According to the network, No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani will replace Aguilera for the new season and singer Pharrell will come on board to take the spot formerly occupied by singer Cee Lo Green.

Wango performer Shakira is currently serving as a judge on the current season of “The Voice,” which is scheduled to air its finale on May 20. Currently, five singers remain in the competition.

Meanwhile, fellow Wango performer Grande recently experienced positive digital sales for her song “Problem,” which took the number one spot on the Billboard digital songs chart for the first week of its release. Azalea’s song “The New Classic” has also been performing well, taking the number five spot on the Billboard chart for last week, according to the Associated Press.

Some of the stars performing at Wango Tango will be seen at other festivals this summer – Grande and Sheeran will appear at the Roots’ 4th of July Jam in Philadelphia and Paramore will be playing at Wisconsin’s Summerfest on July 5.
