The classic tale of the tortoise and the hare gets a fresh, modern spin in Mercedes-Benz’s ad for Super Bowl XLIX. The tortoise is still the winner, but this time he doesn’t rely on the hare falling asleep but rather the pace of the all-new 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT.

In the 60-second spot, we see the tortoise visit Mercedes-AMG’s factory where he picks up the keys to one very nice-looking silver GT S. It’s then all over for the hare, who also loses his girl to “the turtle” by the end of the race.

The new ad coincides with the market launch of the GT S. The car has been priced at $130,825, with shipping, which isn’t a bad deal considering you’re getting aluminum construction, a transaxle gearbox, a plush interior and 503 horsepower to play with. Those waiting for the slightly tamer GT model with 456 hp will have to wait until spring of next year.
