A trailer has arrived for the upcoming BBC TV adaptation of Hilary Mantel’s book “Wolf Hall.”

“Wolf” tells the story of Thomas Cromwell, an advisor to Henry VIII, and his machinations at the king’s court. Mark Rylance of “Anonymous” plays Cromwell, while “Homeland” star Damian Lewis portrays the king, “Hysteria” actor Jonathan Pryce portrays Cardinal Wolsey, and Joanne Whalley of “The Borgias” portrays Catherine of Aragon, while Claire Foy of “Rosewater” takes on the part of Anne Boleyn.

In the trailer, Cardinal Wolsey tells Thomas Cromwell, “At last, a man born in a more lowly state than myself.” Cromwell later declares, “You will not find any talent I possess that England cannot use” and King Henry VIII tells him, “I trust in your discretion and your skill.”
