Jason Segel will portray David Foster Wallace in the film 'The End of the Tour'

According to TheWrap, Segel will star as Wallace in the film and actor Jesse Eisenberg will portray author David Lipsky.

Writer David Lipsky’s book “Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip With David Foster Wallace” will be adapted into a film titled "The End of the Tour," with actor Jason Segel reportedly starring as Wallace and Jesse Eisenberg reportedly portraying Lipsky.

Wallace, an innovative, award-winning novelist who was also acclaimed for his nonfiction writing, committed suicide in 2008.

TheWrap reported that “This Is the End” actor Segel and Eisenberg of “Now You See Me” are on board and that “The Spectacular Now” director James Ponsoldt is directing the film. Writer Donald Margulies of the Tony-nominated play “Time Stands Still” is reported to be writing the script.

"Yourself" follows Lipsky as he and Wallace travel the country for the book tour for Wallace’s novel “Infinite Jest.”

Lipsky is also the author of “Absolutely American,” among other works.
