Lauren Weiner’s tale of an assistant toiling for a tyrannical boss, “The Devil Wears Prada,” shot up the bestseller lists and was turned into an Oscar-nominated film in 2006 – and now, the author says, there’s a sequel on the way.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Weiner’s new book will be released next April and will be titled “Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns.”

“Revenge” would also follow the heroine of “Devil,” Andy Sachs, but catch up with her eight years later as she works as the editor of bridal magazine Plunge with her former co-assistant, Emily, though she can’t seem to get away from the specter of her demanding former boss, Miranda Priestly.

Anne Hathaway played naïve newcomer Andy in the movie adaptation, while then-unknown Emily Blunt earned raves as the character of the same name and actress Meryl Streep received an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of poisonous, complicated editor Miranda.
