I'm reading The Soft Vengeance of a Freedom Fighter by Albia Sachs. Sachs, a former Justice of the Constitutional Court in South Africa, spent his life passing legislation to break apart Apartheid, which led to the forming of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. An attempt on his life in Mozambique cost him an arm and sight in one eye, but he continued to work to give rights to those who denied rights to other people based on race and sexual orientation, thereby having his "soft vengeance," by giving rights to those who would deny him his. This book is truly inspiring.
