Sen. John Barrasso criticized President Barack Obama for linking the Gulf oil spill to cap and trade.

The Wyoming Republican says the president's climate and energy plan will do nothing to stop or clean up the oil leak.

On the other hand, Barrasso says the cap and trade plan being pushed in the U.S. Senate will increase energy prices and eliminate jobs.

Barrasso says he will continue to oppose any plan that will raise the cost of powering American homes, cars and businesses.

Sen. Mike Enzi and Rep. Cynthia Lummis also are opposed to the cap and trade plan.
