What is the Supreme Court thinking? Ask the Monitor

July 2, 2009

The US Supreme Court is the crucial third branch of American government. In its recently completed term, the Court ruled on a number of significant cases -- and also appeared to shift in a more conservative direction.

What do you think about recent rulings? Will Sonia Sotomayor be confirmed -- and will that alter the Court in a significant way? Is the Court tilting to balance the Obama White House and Democrat-controlled Congress? How do recent rulings affect you?

Ask Warren Richey, the Monitor's Supreme Court reporter, those and other questions at 1 pm (EDT) on Thursday. Monitor editor John Yemma hosts the “Talk to the Editor” webcast and will be joined by national news editor Cheryl Sullivan, who oversees Washington coverage.

The conversation will be webcast in this blog via Ustream. You can watch it live here.
