A personal preference

Yes I, too,

like to see

a butterfly

that after a rest

from flight,

unfolds its wings

and makes

a moment's

parasol

for the flower

beneath its wisp

of weight

– but I also

love to watch

a bull-chested crow

plop

its black fat

on a thin tree limb

that instantly bends,

as if begging

for mercy.
