What: Find Your Longitude, an online game to teach kids (and adults) about geography, navigation, and how to determine their longitude.

Best Points: The game not only challenges players to find where in the world their ship is lost, it also incorporates links to a glossary of terms and clues to help orient sailors young and old.

Hot links bordering the game connect users to another game about how the Global Positioning System (GPS) works, information about ancient mariners and navigators, and a catalog of eminent scientists' opinions about what our century's greatest scientific challenge will be.

What you need to know: Find Your Longitude was is part of the Nova Online website, and a companion site to the PBS television series "Lost at Sea: The Search for Longitude," based on the best-selling book "Longitude" by Dava Sobel.
