Tour de France (CBS, 2-3 p.m.): Three weeks and 1,529 miles later, one of the sports world's most gruelling events concludes when the bicycle caravan rolls past the finish line today on Paris's famed Champs-Elysees boulevard. The program includes highlights of the final stages.

Monday 7/30

A Flea Market Documentary (PBS, Check local listings): A look at how one person's trash could be another's treasure. From the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., to Freemont Market in Seattle, the "bargains roadshow" hits the bazaars, meeting some unusual people and their enticing wares.

Wednesday 8/01

State of the Planet (Discovery, 8-11 p.m.): You're always in good hands with Sir David Attenborough. The British documentarymaker looks through an environmentalist's lens at spaceship Earth: "Is there a crisis?" the three-part series asks, and it goes on to discuss how we can take care of our resources. The message: Earth is on the brink of an ecological calamity.

Live and Almost Legal (MTV, 8-11 p.m.): MTV, a TV channel that has changed our culture (see page 13), has a 20th birthday bash. Mariah Carey and Billy Idol, among others, will perform on the live show.
