www.collegeclub.com

WHAT: An award-winning Web site exclusively for college students.

BEST POINTS: CollegeClub.com offers a cornucopia of free communications features: phone access to e-mail (888-E-MAIL ME) and voice mail from anywhere in the country, Web-based e-mail, online auctions, chats, and information from over 100,000 student-run groups. Also, in the "Photo Gallery," students can upload their photos to the online area, add captions, create private albums, and share photos with their friends and family via the Web.

Or, access networking opportunities through the vast student community, divided into 20 channels based on professional and personal interests. These include "OnMoney," "Love & Relationships," and "Jobs." You can also shop for anything from a bike to an apartment to a roommate, and get student discounts on textbooks and other items.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: You must register before using much of this site (membership is free). The San Diego-based CollegeClub.com started in 1993, and this month boasted that its membership had hit 2 million - making it one of the most widely used college-oriented sites.
