Long life online

February 16, 2000

Today's teens may spend nearly a third of their lives on the Internet, according to a recent study by the Fortino Group.

Group founder Michael Fortino wants parents to help kids to make this time constructive:

*Pursue one new "real life" experience per month learned on the Net.

*Design Internet research projects.

*Post news on a family Web site.

*Use family-friendly Web sites such as www.Dailydrill.com, a free calendar.
