In the world of book publishing, audiobooks may not be part of the mainstream, but they are no longer a curio. The question, "What should I listen to?" occurs more and more. Individuals from all walks of life now fit listening to a printed text into everyday life.

The Monitor asked Robin Whitten, executive editor and publisher of Audiophile magazine, to suggest a wide range of recorded books our readers might sample.
