The Conversation

It always begins about three hours after

dark when most humans are asleep. Then the

barking of the four dogs on the farms

nearby commences. The voice of each dog

is readily distinguishable by his tone.

They never all speak at once. One will

begin and the others answer in turn. It's

a kind of music and it's a conversation.

But what do they talk about, what are

they telling each other? I wish I knew.
