cloud forms nudge each other and
move on with wind behind them
live-oaks sway as if summer air
were music
longleaf pines toss their
mossy beards
crepe myrtle flowers bob
like teenagers in disco rhythm
even glossy magnolia leaves
keep the beat
and we hear with our eyes
what we might miss if we only listened
