Next to the railroad tracks

a pink sweater resembles a flower

on a dark trellis, if you are staring down

from the third floor through clothes

on lines at the back of the next-door house. It looks

like a lonely flower, singular,

where others are shining shards of green,

or clear cellophane wrappers, or the graceful

curved cup of an orange rind..
