The Parable Of the Grass

November 1, 1993

Grass can be

greener wherever you

want it to be. It can

be in town at the

Philharmonic, it can be

at the Bronx Museum of the

Arts, it can be in an

unveiled labyrinth filled

with nostalgic longing

for the old ways, it can

be in a courtyard apartment

where a woman with shoulder-

length

hair streaked with gray writes

at the kitchen table.
