TUESDAY

PBS: Wilderness Journal (10-11 p.m.) Host William Devane journeys through the spectacular wilderness areas of California, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Nevada.

WEDNESDAY

HB0: Sakharov (8-10 p.m.) Pay cable's Home Box Office early release of this docudrama about the Russian dissident. Straightforwardly done, with little melodramatics. Its timeliness represents an international public service.
