Tropical Storm Igor expected to regain strength

Tropical Storm Igor, located about 350 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands, is expected to regain tropical storm strength in the far eastern Atlantic.

Tropical Depression Igor is expected to regain tropical storm strength in the far eastern Atlantic.

The depression's maximum sustained winds early Friday are near 35 mph (55 kph) but the National Hurricane Center in Miami says it's expected to get stronger later in the day.

Igor is located about 350 miles (565 kilometers) west of the Cape Verde Islands off the coast of Africa and is moving west near 13 mph (20 kph).
