What's the best political book you've read this year?

July 16, 2010

It's summer beach season, but that doesn't mean you have to read "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."

On the right, people are talking about "Never Enough: America's Limitless Welfare State." On the left, people are talking about "The Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule." There's also a slew of highly acclaimed accounts of the 2008 financial crisis, including former Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson's book, "On the Brink: Inside the Race to Stop the Collapse of the Global Financial System."

We want to gather your recommendations for political books that helped you understand a public issue – or public person – better. Tell us the name of the book and how it deepened your understanding.
