I would recommend any book by Welsh author Jasper Fforde that weaves fantasy and science fiction into literature and humor and human behavior. However, his newest series, Shades of Grey, about the world of color and how it relates to society, is particularly outstanding. Fforde has an absorbing way of making the unreal real and believable while taking you on an intellectual and mindblowing adventure in the process.
