Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a memoir of a Somali Muslim girl who obtains asylum in Holland and becomes a member of the Dutch parliament fighting for the rights of Muslim women. The book points out the enormous clash of cultures and challenges naive liberal thinking that through acceptance and understanding we will bring about peaceful coexistence.
